Peacebuilding
Peace is more than the absence of conflict, peace encompasses the presence of justice, healing, and human dignity. At Sub Rosa, peacebuilding is grounded in trauma-informed practices, human rights principles, and a deep respect for local and global realities. My work spans post-conflict, humanitarian, and development contexts, bridging the personal with the political, and the grassroots with the global.
Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI)
I am an active member of Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI), a global network of peacebuilders committed to building a more just and peaceful world through mediation, dialogue, and community capacity-building – “People building peace”
My work with MBBI includes:
Trauma-Informed Peacebuilding in Ukraine
Co-developing and delivering the Trauma-Informed Peacebuilding (TIPDA) project in response to the war in Ukraine. This initiative supported Ukrainian mediators, facilitators, and humanitarian workers in managing conflict and building emotional and community resilience amid trauma.
Nairobi Peace Congress 2023
Participation at the MBBI Nairobi Peace Congress 2023, where I co-represented the Europe Regional Cooperation Group. At the Congress, our group received the “Best Collaboration Region 2023” award for our commitment to promote peace and bring meaningful change in the region.
MBBI Membership Committee
As part of MBBI’s Membership Committee, I contribute to the growth, ethics, and support systems of this global network, facilitating dialogue between members and helping shape the future of inclusive and sustainable peacebuilding.
Humanitarian work with the United Nations
My peacebuilding lens is also informed by my experience with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), where I served as an intern at the Emergency and Resilience Office (OER). In this role, I supported the organization’s work in some of the world’s most critical humanitarian emergencies, contributing to the enabling environment for rapid response mechanism, human resources and employee satisfaction, mental health mainstreaming, youth participation, gender-sensitive responses, and accountability to affected populations.
Academic Foundations: Master Thesis Research inspired by the Russia-Ukraine Crisis
My master’s thesis, “The Role of the International Media in Instigating Humanitarian Relief and Global Public Support to War-Affected Countries: The Ukrainian Model”, explored how international media, public opinion, and perception shape the international response to war, specifically humanitarian aid distribution. This work blends psychology, policy and content analysis, humanitarian advocacy, and communication and media strategy—essential tools in today’s complex peacebuilding landscape.

Storytelling and Shaping Narratives
Drawing from my background in psychology, human rights, and field-based peacebuilding, I help individuals and organizations craft powerful, ethically responsible narratives that can:
- Mobilize support for a cause
- Create understanding across divides
- Reduce stigma and harmful stereotypes
- Promote reconciliation and healing
- Influence policy and public opinion
I offer support in developing testimony-based campaigns, public presentations, awareness-raising materials, digital storytelling, and trauma-informed content creation that centers the dignity and voices of affected communities. My approach ensures narratives are accurate, respectful, and impactful, without retraumatizing or oversimplifying complex realities.
Research and Policy
With an International Master’s in Human Rights and Multi-Level Governance, in English language, I bridge the gap between lived experience, research, and policymaking. Grounded in field realities and academic rigor, I offer expertise in interpreting global, political and community dynamics through a human rights lens, and translating those insights into actionable material.
I bring experience in writing and contributing to:
- Investigative and evaluative reports
- Humanitarian response and monitoring documents
- Presentations for institutional or donor audiences
- Policy briefs, compliance frameworks, and position papers
- Advocacy strategies and strategic planning documents
I have collaborated with a wide range of actors, from UN agencies and international NGOs to local feminist organizations, government institutions, and professional associations.
